No 10 says Palestine Action is a violent organisation that has caused significant injury

Downing Street said the group has carried out violent acts, inflicted significant injuries and committed extensive criminal damage, and that it meets the Terrorism Act tests for proscription.

Asked about arrests at protests linked to Palestine Action, the prime minister’s official spokesperson said many people may still be unaware of the group’s true nature, but security assessments are clear. This is a violent organisation that has used violence, caused significant injury and extensive criminal damage, and, as such, has satisfied the criteria set out in law to be proscribed.
